The Lavaux, New York, NY Executive Officer: Development of a new Manhattan eatery in the West Village, featuring Swiss Wines, “Wyssmuller” Fondue Creation and other Swiss Delicacies. From operational planning, market research and competitive analysis to project design layout, menu planning, systems and training.

Kelley House Hotel, Edgartown, MA General Manager: Achievements: Complete renovation of this 57 keys gem on Martha’s Vineyard. Reopen under Challenging conditions due to timing and seasonal demand. Improved service levels throughout the hotel including the famous and very popular pub/restaurant “The Newes” grossing just short of $2M.

Leaf Restaurant + Bar, Charleston, SC   Owner/Operator: Successfully create and open a 200+ seat restaurant. Manage a team which made the restaurant a destination of choice for locals and tourists in a very competitive market. Great food, personalized service and overall positive customer experience resulting in sales reaching over $2M the first year and gradually increasing for the next four years.

The Vendue Hotel, Charleston, SC  General Manager/Managing Director: Achievements: Turn 70 rooms hotel around financially and rebuild employee morale. Increase rooms revenue by $1.2M, F&B revenue by 2.4M. Restored reputation and regained trust in the community. Received promotion to Managing Director.    

Netherlands Inn & Spa, Strasburg, PA General Manager Achievements: Renovate/reposition the former Historic Strasburg Inn, a 102-room resort with a colonial image into a contemporary look, including a first class bistro and ballroom, while operating hotel during busiest season.                          

The Wye River Plantation, Queenstown, MD VP of Operations: Achievements: Bring “Pintail Point” consisting of five B&B’s, Sporting Clays, Hunting, Fishing, Charter Yachts and “Hunters Oak” a 18 hole golf course with a club house under one umbrella.

The Jefferson Hotel, Washington, DC General Manager: Complete a $4M “soft good” renovation in the Summer of 2000 while operating this 100 room hotel. Achievements: Regain “4 star” status on the Exxon/Mobil 2000 Travel Guide; increase ADR by $40.00; Reposition the hotel post renovation to replace price sensitive clientele to keep increasing ADR, REVPAR and occupancy.

The Iroquois Hotel, New York, NY  General Manager: Oversee and execute a $10M renovation project from a distressed property to a 114 room luxury hotel. Achievements: Introduce and reposition new product to market place; Successful in becoming a new member of “Small Luxury Hotels of the World”.  

Lancaster Hotels and Resorts (All hotels are members of “Small Luxury Hotels of the World”) :

The Inn at Great Neck, Great Neck, NY    General Manager Oversee and execute new hotel opening. Achievements: Introduce 85 room luxury property to market place; obtain 72% occupancy while increasing ADR by $30.00 since Spring 95 opening; achieved 62% return guest ratio.                

The Tremont Hotel, Chicago, IL  General Manager Execute hotel closing, oversee entire restoration project and reopening of historic 129 room hotel. Achievements: Complete renovation on limited budget; Reintroduce hotel as a key player on the Chicago “Gold Coast”.
